Riverdale Park, MD

Riverdale Park is a quiet, perhaps sleepy, leafy suburb with green lawns. Northeast of Hyattsville, Riverdale Park is also located in Prince George's County, MD. Often overlooked by the media and non-residents alike, it could easily be mistaken for Kensington or Brookland, with its mature trees and handsome architecture of bygone eras. It has ornate Victorians, Cape Cods, Bungalows, kit homes, and nondescript ranch houses. University of Maryland's College Park campus is nearby but the campus culture and feel doesn't extend to Riverdale Park. The Station At Riverdale Park, a new development, includes for sale townhouses and apartments.

Restaurants, Retail, and Entertainment

The Station at Riverdale Park, to the west of historic Riverdale Park, has the largest concentration of shops and restaurants in Riverdale Park. It's quite new, includes dining options like District Taco and Denizens Brewing Company production house and taproom, Starbucks, Jersey Mike's and Burton's Grill. It fills a wide variety of retail needs, including a Whole Foods grocery store, Fedex Office, Gold's Gym, a spa, a community bank, a Hair Cuttery, and a dentist.
